What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese word meaning ‘Universal Energy’. For centuries Eastern Medicine has recognised and worked with this energy, which flows through all living things and is vital to well-being. It was introduced to the West in the 1930s by Hawayo Takata.

Reiki can only work for the highest and greatest good of each person and is safe for all ages. The Reiki Practitioner is attuned to allow Reiki to flow through them and on into the client, they do not use their own, personal, energy.

What Reiki is not

Reiki cannot be used in place of medical practice and Reiki Practitioners cannot diagnose using Reiki. Reiki is not a massage technique or a religion or associated with religion in any way.

What are the benefits of Reiki?

Reiki works on every level and naturally adapts to the needs of the receiver. It is becoming ever more popular as people recognise the negative toll taken on their body, coping with the stresses and strains that living in today’s busy society can bring.
